Hey fellow Jeds:

I'm Jed Brandler. I've lived in NYC all my life and recently moved to Long
Island.  
My mom originally named me Israel but she thought kids would tease me so she
changed it and named me after the actor Jed Allen. No one gets my name
right. I'm Jay, Jeff, Ted, Ed to everyone at first. There's actually many
Jeds out there. I've come across a website where there are 8000 thousand of
us in the United States alone so we have lots of recruiting to do! 

So I'm a little partial to people who really aren't "Jed". 
Somehow nicknames don't cut it. Even Jedediah's not the same. 
Only "real Jeds" should be a member of this club.
