I'm a Jed.  I love being a Jed.  I was born and raised in
Springfield, Illinois, and my full legal name is James Edward Enlow.

There are way too many Jims in our family, so my parents decided to combine J(ames) 
and ED(ward), to create Jed.  I graduated from Springfield High School 
in 1994, and moved on to Miami University in Oxford Ohio for Undergrad.

I then went to law school in Boston at Suffolk University.
  
Surprisingly, I met more Jeds on the East coast than the midwest.  I 
think the preppy coastal towns produced some parents looking for more 
unique names, and Jed happened a few times.  Most people
equate Jed with a rural, backwoods Clampett type.  My experience has
shown a lot more preppy sophisticates named Jed.

I'm now settled in Chicago with my wife, Sara, and our dog.
I have a private law practice, concentrating in entertainment law.
