After a recent discussion about domain names and how we should have
registered our names several years ago before this whole internet thing got so wound up, I decided to check out my name.com... and lookee here! Cool idea! I love it!

Anyway, the URL of my homage is below. My given name is Jared, because my parents liked the name Jed, thought that it would be nice to have a longer
given name that would end up being nicknamed Jed, and hated the name Jedediah.

It's rare enough to be interesting, but common enough not be mispronounced
except if people hear 'Jay,' 'Ed,' 'Jeb,' 'Joe,' etc. Somewhere I have a Garbage Pail Kid sticker (remember the rip-off of Cabbage Patch Kids?)
of "Undead Jed," and I've got a book called "Jed and the Spaceship." Also, there's a Dr. Seuss couplet that goes something like "The bed of a Jedd is the softest
in the world, it is said. He makes it from pompoms he grows on his head."
(It's in the Sleep Book.) Anyway, I'm busy (or should be) so I'll have to send you
    more stories later.
