Hi,  My name is Jed Newton.
Well actually, it's really Jeremy, but I've been known as Jed ever since
about 1963, as a result of (you guessed it) the Beverly Hillbillies.

The only other Jed I've met was a John E. Duncombe, who played Lacrosse
with me for Cambridge University (actually he was the captain) who was
similarly known as Jed to everyone.  This caused quite a lot of confusion
both on and off the pitch.

the other Jeds.
